Drum Workshop and Concert

Razzamataz Kids' Shows! presented Ruben Esguerra and his new tradition music at the Head Lake Park bandshell as part of the Arts and Crafts Festival. Fusing spoken word and Hiphop’s cultural expressions with Colombian Afro-Indigenous música de gaita, two-time JUNO-nominated multi-instrumentalist and lyricist Beny Esguerra and New Tradition Music delivered an urgent call for justice, environmental healing and respect for ancestors and land treaties with an interactive multi-arts performance.

As part of his concert performance, Ruben (Beny) was accompanied by two dancers. The audience enthusiastically participated after a demonstration of different dance moves and styles. It was a good time for all while learning some new dance moves and about nature.
