Dance Happens Here Haliburton (DH3) is enthusiastic about dance.

We present contemporary and traditional dance in unique settings in order to reach audiences who may not otherwise experience these performances. 

 

We commission artists to create original productions and also partner with other presenting organizations to “embed” professional and locally created dance performances into events and spaces in Haliburton County.

Since 2015, we have provided opportunities for local choreographers to create and present new works, provided opportunities for local youth and adults to perform in professional productions and have introduced the local population to contemporary dance through workshops and the presentation of compelling performances.

Over the past few years we have partnered with the Highlands Summer Festival, The Festival of the August Moon, Razzmatazz, the Nutcracker Ballet, Haliburton DrumFest, HIFF (Haliburton International Film Festival), Fashion Fallies, the Haliburton County Folk Society and the Haliburton Sculpture Forest.
